Isochron Scepter allows you to exile an instant with a converted mana cost of two or less, imprint it, and later cast copies of the imprinted card without paying the mana cost. Some instant cards have additional costs or restrictions written in their text. I'd like to know how these costs/restrictions apply when casting an imprinted card.
For example, Aerial Formation says, "Aerial Formation costs [3] more to cast for each target beyond the first." Treetop Defense says, "Play Treetop Defense only after you've attacked, before you declare interceptors." These appear to be two different kinds of restrictions. The first is a cost rule, which I suspect doesn't apply after the exiled card has been imprinted. The second seems more likely to still apply as it doesn't relate to the casting cost.
Additional costs still apply, even if they are costs of mana. The "mana cost" of a card is only the mana on its upper corner, other costs still need to be paid when you cast a spell "without paying its mana cost".
Timing restrictions still need to be followed, too.
