I was doing some searching on here before I posted and couldnt find anything. Im very new to the world of MTG and I recently got Shapers' Sanctuary. I was playing a match against a friend and I already had that card on the field when he casted Kinjalli's Sunwing which causes creatures opponent controls to enter the battlefield tapped. My argument is that for every creature I cast thereafter I should be able to draw a card due to Shapers Sanctuary which whenever a creature you control becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, you may draw a card. My friend feels that the ability of kinjallis sunwing is affecting how i how i cast my creatures and not them specifically and as such I should not be allowed to draw any additional cards. Any help with rulings on this would be great. Thanks.
Things only target if the word "target" is present in the text of the spell or ability. Because the Sunwing says nothing about targeting, it does not target and it will not trigger Sanctuary.
Nothing in Kinjalli's Sunwing targets anything (that card doesn't include "target [something]" or a keyword that does), so Shapers' Sanctuary's ability doesn't trigger merely because a creature an opponent controls enters the battlefield while a player controls Kinjalli's Sunwing (C.R. 114.10, 114.10a).
EDIT (May 3, 2019): Some rules were renumbered with Dominaria.
