I have always found the way we played a bit fishy, where i would have a forest with Dictate of karametra and heartbeat of spring with mana reflectionwhere i would have lets say a single forest, and everyone would keep saying the forest taps for G then heartbeat and dictate make it tap for another GG making it GGG , then the reflection doubles it to GGGGGG , and that doesn't seem right to me.
(and i hope i got the card tags right, been months since i used the forum)
You tap a Forest for G.
Mana Reflection doubles it to GG. You now have 2 mana.
Dictate triggers to give you another G. You now have 3 mana.
Heartbeat triggers to give you another G. You now have 4 mana.
So, you get two less mana than you think you do. Dictate and Heartbeat are producing the mana so Mana Reflection doesn't care about them (they are not being tapped for mana). Only the Forest is being tapped for mana so only the Forest has its mana doubled.
