Hey Rules Gurus, I have a question in regards to a specific interaction.
If I have Obsidian Fireheart on the battle field and then enchant my opponent's Garruk Wildspeaker with Song of the Dryads and then activate the Fireheart's ability to put a blaze counter on the now Garruk Forest, it will burn during each upkeep. This I know works..
My question is: What if I bounce the Song of the Dryads? Will Garruk still burn since the blaze counter and the ability associated with it are still present? Or because it is no longer a land it is not able to trigger as normal.
"That land" really only means "that particular object", even if it's not a land anymore. Garruk is still the same permanent, that Obsidian Fireheart affected, so despite changing some characteristics, he still has a Blaze counter and the ability granted by the Fireheart, and will continue to trigger for damage in its controller's upkeep.
