It does not work, simply for the fact, that the Splendor is an aura and turning a permanent into a copy of an aura does not allow you to attach it to something or someone. So right after th Mirror's ability has resolved, the Mirror is put into its owner's graveyard as a state based action for not being attached.

Unless it is somehow already attached to a player, which would be pretty darn difficult to achieve but may be possible in some obscure way.
