For years I always considered cards like Landslide, Royal Decree, Ranthi Dragon, Lake of the Dead and the like as targeting the subtype Mountains and Swamps respectively. The fact I usually sac a basic land is just coincidence really.
So someone hit me with Blood Moon so I decided to sink or swim and clear the board using Landslide by sacrificing all of my lands. Not a serious game, so no judge hanging around, but it dawned on me that I don't know for sure if the type of cards I mentioned refers to "Mountains" by name or by subtype. My opponent wasn't sure either. He seemed to think it mean "Mountains" by name. I always thought of it as referring to subtype.
For these kinds of situations, always assume that the card refers to a subtype unless it specifically calls out the fact that it cares about names. For example, the template used in cards that care about creature types, such as Arms Dealer, are identical to Landslide.
Where Landslide refers to "Mountains", it refers to permanents having the subtype Mountain on the battlefield, whether or not those permanents are named Mountain (C.R. 109.2, 205.3i).

Ah ha! There it is. I was trying to find it under the wrong category. I kept thinking it was supposed to be under CR 110 or 701.15. Never dawned on me to look in CR 109.
Cards that are referenced by their specific card name are clear about doing so.

Yeah, that's what tripped me up. Intuitively, I know when a card refers to a card by name and by subtype. But I couldn't cite the specific rules.
Long story short, a couple of players at an LGS are leaning into me hard on my plays, trying to call me out and trip me up. I don't particularly care for it.

Which is correct? Do I sacrifice Mountains or can I sacrifice Blood Moon + non-basic lands?
I have more serious decks I use at the LGS where this is going to be a factor, so I need to be certain.
Unfortunately, I can't figure it out looking at the rules.
EDIT (Sep. 25): Add rule citation.

Thanks to all three of you.
