Is it possible to buff an opponents cards for you to follow it up with something else?
For example, I am playing with my friend and he plays a Stormtide Leviathan. Since I want to get that ***** out immediately, I use Jeskai Runemark (I have a white permanent down, and he also has a red permanent himself) and then follow that up with a Plummet.
Since I have a white permament, and he has a red permanent too, does the Leviathan gain flying? I really want to know because that would make a good combo.

so if you have a white permanent, it has flying. it doesn't matter what your opponent has in this case.
So yes, it works.
Quibble: The Runemark cycle care about the colors of permanents their controllers control, not their owners.
