I'm working on a morph deck, so I want to make sure I totally understand the rules and interactions when it comes to morphing. There's two situations that are likely to show up in my playgroup that I'm not too sure on and would like some clarification.
I know that Lavinia of the Tenth detains the face-down creatures, because they have 0 CMC. I'm pretty sure I can still turn them face-up, though, because it is a special action and not an ability (like how I could morph a creature with a Split Second spell such as [[Angel's Grace]] on the stack), right? After this it becomes a bit less clear; I'm fairly certain the creature is still detained, so morphing it won't allow it to attack or block or activate any abilities, right? However, I could morph in response to her being cast to keep a creature with a higher CMC while face-up from being detained at all, yes?
Then there's a question about Humility; if I have the face-down creature and someone has out Humility, can I still morph it, or does Humility stop that as well? Will it also stop any "as this creature is turned face up" and/or "when this creature is turned face up" abilities?

It does stop it, because of the way Morph works. You can turn the creature face up if it would have a morph cost if it were face up. Because of Humility, it wouldn't, so you can't.
Will it also stop any "as this creature is turned face up" and/or "when this creature is turned face up" abilities?
Yes (despite the last answer, this could come up with something like Break Open). For such an ability to trigger, the permanent needs to have it right after it's been turned face up. Because of Humility, it never has it.
I'm a former judge (lapsed), who keeps up to date on rules and policy. Keep in mind that judges' answers aren't necessarily more valid than those of people who aren't judges; what matters is we can quote the rules to back up our answers. When in doubt, ask for such quotes.

Two of the guys in my playgroup runs Lavinia, so knowing how my cards interact with her is a pretty important thing!
