My phone is acting up and won't let me link the cards all together but this is the question I have.
Also does Gideon eternal die from losing all loyalty or does he stay a creature and can gain loyalty or lose loyalty? I have no idea how this all works together but this is something that happened earlier today
In this scenario, if you choose Gideon this way, the token created this way will, with the exceptions given on God-Pharaoh's Gift, acquire Gideon's copiable values as it enters (C.R. 706.2, 706.9c), so that the token will enter the battlefield—
as a copy of a noncreature planeswalker (regardless of whether Gideon is also a creature due to his first ability) (C.R. 706.2),
with as many loyalty counters on the token as its "printed loyalty number" (which is 4 for Gideon, Ally of Zendikar) and not necessarily with the counters that Gideon already has (C.R. 306.5b, 706.2; for interaction of these effects, see C.R. 616.1, 614.1c-d, 614.12),
without necessarily being a creature, being 5/5 or having indestructible since most effects, other than copy effects, aren't copied by a copy effect (C.R. 706.2) (the effects of Gideon's first ability apply in layers 4, 6, and 7 [C.R. 613.1d, 613.1f-g], rather than layer 1, which Clever Impersonator's and God-Pharaoh's Gift's copy effects apply in [C.R. 613.1a]), and
with Gideon's loyalty abilities since those are part of Gideon's copiable values (C.R. 706.2).
In general, when an object becomes a copy of another object, it acquires its copiable values (here, Clever Impersonator's or Gideon's copiable values); however, those values don't include counters or most effects (such as that of Gideon's first ability) (C.R. 706.2). Moreover, if you choose Gideon this way, God-Pharaoh's Gift's copy effect (including its modification to creature types, color, power, and toughness, whose values, as modified, become part of the token's copiable values [C.R. 706.9c]) will be overwritten by Clever Impersonator's copy effect (which makes no exception or modification to what values are copied within the meaning of C.R. 706.9, so that all its copiable values will be overwritten by the newly "copied information" from Gideon [C.R. 706.3]). Note also that Clever Impersonator's ability expresses a replacement effect that changes how Clever Impersonator enters the battlefield (C.R. 614.12, 614.12a; see also C.R. 614.1c).
Note also that God-Pharaoh's Gift neither has eternalize nor grants other cards eternalize (review C.R. 702.128a).
That's what I figured, but we were all rolling because of what happened
Now here's a question on a different note on the same thing. How does God pharaohs gift interact with clever impersonator copying blightsteel Colossus for example?
Clever Impersonator's copy effect will overwrite the Gift's copy effect completely. The token is created with the characteristics of a Clever Impersonator including its copy ability, but makes an exception for some of those chararcteristics. So if you choose not to apply the token Impersonator's copy effect, those will also be the final characteristics (unless someting else modifies them further). But if you do apply the token Impersonator's copy effect, which mkaes no exceptions to the copying process, the base set of characteristics of the token is overwritten with this new set of characteristics. Essentially, it will be like a normal Impersonator entering and copying something, except that it's a token. Meaning, you'll have a token Blightsteel Colossus, and being a token is the only visual difference between it and the original.
In the scenario given, once Clever Impersonator becomes a copy of Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, there would generally be at least two Gideon planeswalkerslegendary permanents named Gideon, Ally of Zendikar on the battlefield. If the same player controls two or more Gideon planeswalkerssuch legendary permanents, then as a state-based action, that player must choose one of those, and the rest of those go to the graveyard (C.R. 704.5j).
EDIT (Aug. 12): Clarification.
EDIT (Sep. 28): Since the planeswalker uniqueness rule will be eliminated in Ixalan, edit post accordingly.
