Aethergeode Miner can be exiled and returned to the battlefield at instant speed. "After Aethergeode Miner returns to the battlefield, it will be a new object with no connection to the creature that was exiled." is a related ruling. So, if I emerge my Elder Deep-Fiend on my Aethergeode Miner, can I in response exile my Miner (assuming I have the energy of course) and play my Deep-Fiend for 2UU?
Further, if I have to sacrifice 5 creatures to transform my Westvale Abbey, can I sacrifice the same Miner multiple times using the above method?
And if neither of those situations works, if my opponent plays Blessed Alliance to make me sacrifice my Aethergeode Miner that's attacking alone, can I flicker it so that when it returns to the battlefield, it's no longer attacking, so that mode fizzles?
Tangentally, if I have my Vizier of Many Faces enter the battlefield as an Aethergeode Miner, then can I at any time flicker it, and choose to make it something else as it reenters the battlefield? The group that I play with say that it gets stuck in exile because when it leaves the battlefield, it's no longer Aethergeode Miner, so the remainder of the ability fizzles, but that doesn't sound right to me. This is not embalmed, by the way, because obviously that wouldn't work.
You can't use the Miner to get multiple emerges/sacrifice costs in general because you can't respond to paying a cost.
An attacking creature that's blinked will return to the battlefield not attacking.
A Vizier of Many Faces that gets blinked can return and copy anything, assuming it's a card and not a token. A token that this occurs to will just cease to exist as it's exiled.
1) No. Sacrificing a creature to pay an emerge cost is part of paying the cost, and you can't respond to it by blinking the Aethergeode Miner. You'd end up having to pay 3UU to cast the Elder Deep-Fiend.
2) No for the same reason as in the first question.
3) Yes, that works. You can respond to Blessed Alliance by blinking the Miner, and it will return to the battlefield as a new object with no relation to its former existence, and that mode will do nothing (or, if that's the only mode chosen, Blessed Alliance will be countered for not having a legal target).
4) Yes. When the Vizier-Miner is exiled, if it's not a token, it's just a Vizier of Many Faces during the short time it's in the exile zone. It immediately returns to the battlefield as the ability resolves, and you can have it enter the battlefield as a copy of something else. The ability can still track the Vizier even if the Vizier stops being an Aethergeode Miner when it's exiled.

Lapsed DCI Rules Advisor - Retired from playing but still hanging around
For the first 2: No, that doesn't work. You must pay all costs at once so for Abbey, you need to sacrifice 5 creatures at the same time. You don't get an opportunity to activate its ability in the middle of paying that cost. As for Elder Deep-Fiend it is basically the same thing. You are sacrificing the Miner as part of the cost so by the time you get a chance to activate abilities, the Miner is already gone due to being sacrificed.
The Blessed Alliance situation works due to the creature coming back and no longer being in combat (so it is no longer attacking).
You are right about the Vizier. When it is is exiled due to the ability, it doesn't matter that is in no longer a Miner in exile. The ability is resolving and will continue to resolve. It will re-enter and you will get to choose another creature to copy if you want.
To generalize on the Blessed Alliance case: In the scenario you describe (the Miner is the only attacking creature), you can do what you describe and exile Miner in response to Blessed Alliance, and then you won't have to sacrifice anything because you no longer control any attacking creatures. It's worth noting that if you control any other attacking creatures, you will still have to sacrifice one of the others.
What you can't do is choose Miner as the creature you would sacrifice, then use its ability to let it dodge the sacrifice and get away with not sacrificing anything.
And if neither of those situations works, if my opponent plays Blessed Alliance to make me sacrifice my Aethergeode Miner that's attacking alone, can I flicker it so that when it returns to the battlefield, it's no longer attacking, so that mode fizzles?
You will note that the mode on Blessed Alliance targets an opponent, not a creature. What this means is that even if you have no attacking creatures the mode won't fizzle because you remain a legal target for the spell. So if you had another attacking creature you would have to sacrifice it. You are correct that once the Miner returns, it is no longer an attacking creature so it will be safe.
