It will die. The Mimic's ability creates a replacement effect, but in order for it to function, the Mimic must already be on the battlefield. It cannot affect any creature entering the field at the same time as itself.
This is essentially the same question as this one.
If Metallic Mimic is entering the battlefield at the same time as another creature, its ability won't apply to that other creature. This is because the ability creates a replacement effect that affects how other creatures enter the battlefield. Replacement effects must be present before the event that they would replace occurs, and if Mimic and the other creature enter the battlefield at the same time then the replacement effect isn't there at the time that it would need to be.
