Is this new card count for Instant and Sorcery if it's in the graveyard? I would say yes, but I really don't know. It's for ruling cases like spellheart chimera
Yes. In any zone other than the stack, the split card has the characteristics of both halves. So Destined // Lead would count as two card types for delirium, for example. But it is still only one card, so it counts only as +1 for Spellheart Chimera.
It wouldn't be one Instant and one Sorcery. A good way to put it would be: it's an Instant Sorcery in the graveyard. It would be both, but for the purposes of Spellheart Chimera, it's only one card. For it to count twice, the chimera would need to have separate abilities for each card type.
While Destined to Lead is in the graveyard, it "has each card type specified on either of its halves" (C.R. 708.4c), making its type line "Instant Sorcery". Unfortunately, Spellheart Chimera is ambiguous in this respect; if it had said "instant and/or sorcery cards", Destined to Lead would clearly count only once, whereas a wording such as "the number of instant cards plus the number of sorcery cards" would count the same card twice.
EDIT (Apr. 14): Edited to better state the situation under current rules.
EDIT (May 4): Edited comment since Amonkhet was released.
Ok, so it counts only 1. Also this came because there's a new creature that it's almost the same as it, */4 with flying and without trample. So thanks for your answers.
