Ok so last game I was playing with a friend, I had out Reya Dawnbringer and Shadowborn Demon on the field at the end beginning of my upkeep. I tried to sacrifice my shadowborn demon and then resurrect him with reya dawnbringer in the same upkeep step, is this legal or does the stack order not allow this?
This is not legal. But it is not down to the order of the abilities on the stack.
Both Reya Dawnbringer's and Shadowborn Demon's ability go onto the stack at the begining of your upkeep, in the order you choose.
However at the time Reya Dawnbringer's ability goes on the stack you need to choose a legal target in your graveyard. At this point the Demon is still on the battlefield so not a legal target for the ability.
Please link the rulings.
