2. Hardened Scales, Master Biomancer and Bloodspore Thrinax (which has 2 counters) are in play. Will a vanilla creature entering the battlefield have 5 or 6 counters. Are the Biomancer and Thrinax effects counted separately by Scales?
1) Yes. All 3 cards have replacement effects and, as the affected player, you get to choose the order in which they apply. You can order them as described.
2) This is the same scenario as scenario 1. You can order them in any order you want but it is still one event so they are not seen as separate by Scaled. It will only give you one additional counter no matter when you apply it.
3) It will trigger once. It is still only one event placing counters on the cub.
1. Hardened Scales, Doubling Season and Master Biomancer are in play. I cast a vanilla creature (Merfolk of the Pearl Trident). Can I order the effects such that it gets 2 counters from Biomancer, 1 from Hardened scales, and 3 from Doubling Season?
2. Hardened Scales, Master Biomancer and Bloodspore Thrinax (which has 2 counters) are in play. Will a vanilla creature entering the battlefield have 5 or 6 counters. Are the Biomancer and Thrinax effects counted separately by Scales?
3. Winding Constrictor, Metallic Mimic (naming cat) and Animation Module are in play. Cast Longtusk Cub. Cub enters with 2 counters on it, but how many times does Animation Module trigger?
I find these kinds of scenarios to be not very obvious, so if there are any rules to keep in mind, I would appreciate it.
Thank you!
