I've been reading about people saying that if you have metallic mimic naming servo and animation module in play, if you can trigger the animation module, then you can basically make as many servos as you have mana available, since a servo would come into play with a +1/+1 counter, triggering the module, then you do it again and again.
I'm wondering if that actually works though. The mimic says that the named creature types ENTER PLAY with a +1/+1 counter, and animation module triggers when a counter is placed on a creature. So I guess my question is, would animation module trigger off of a creature entering play with a +1/+1 counter?

If MTG is a part of your life, the formats are like relationships:
Standard/Block = The on-again, off-again holiday fling
Modern/Vintage/Legacy = Stable, homely. A ***** after absence/misreading
Limited/Sealed = Heart breaking free spirit
Commander/Cube = Agreeable, needy and expensive
Pauper/Peasant = Sweet, kind, practical, but shy and boring
Animation Module's ability will trigger even if a permanent enters the battlefield (no longer: comes into play [C.R. 403.5]) under your control with +1/+1 counters on it, since counters being put on a permanent refers to this case too (C.R. 122.6).
EDIT (May 3): Since Amonkhet, counters are now referred to as being "put" rather than "placed" on an object.
EDIT (Apr. 27, 2021): One rule was renumbered in the meantime.
