Hi. For example, I have a Troll Ascetic enchanted with two Rancor. My opponent blocks with a Porcelain Legionnaire. I regenerate the troll, so it does not die from the first strike. Would the trample damage still be deal to my opponent even if I regenerated the troll?
No. Regeneration removes a creature from combat (it also taps the creature, and removes all damage marked on it). A creature that's removed from combat stops being an attacking/blocking/blocked/unblocked creature. And a ceature will only deal combat damage if it is an attacking/blocking creature.
701.13a If the effect of a resolving spell or ability regenerates a permanent, it creates a replacement
effect that protects the permanent the next time it would be destroyed this turn. In this case,
“Regenerate [permanent]” means “The next time [permanent] would be destroyed this turn,
instead remove all damage marked on it and tap it. If it’s an attacking or blocking creature,
remove it from combat.”
508.1j Each chosen creature still controlled by the active player becomes an attacking creature. It
remains an attacking creature until it’s removed from combat or the combat phase ends,
whichever comes first. See rule 506.4.
510.1a Each attacking creature and each blocking creature assigns combat damage equal to its
power. Creatures that would assign 0 or less damage this way don’t assign combat damage at
all.
No, your trample damage will not still be dealt. Rule 701.13b has the relevant language:
"701.13b If the effect of a static ability regenerates a permanent, it replaces destruction with an alternate effect each time that permanent would be destroyed. In this case, “Regenerate [permanent]” means “Instead remove all damage marked on [permanent] and tap it. If it’s an attacking or blocking creature, remove it from combat.” (emphasis added)
Therefore, when your Troll Ascetic would die, and instead you regenerate it, it is removed from combat and therefore does not assign combat damage.
Porcelain legionaire would deal his damage to the troll with first strike. Regeneration then triggers healing the troll completely and causing the troll to be removed from combat and become tapped. All of this happens before the troll could attack and because the troll is now removed from combat he can no long deal damage in return.
It doesn't matter how much power the troll has. He could be a 500/2 and still be taken down by the Legionaire.
Hope that helps.

Small nitpick, regeneration is not a trigger, it's a replacement, so it follows the rules for replacement effects and not triggers.

I guess my troll is shy to creatures with first strike.
