Getting sick of people not understanding the rules. Can someone please tell me which rules apply for this so I can state them to those that do not know...
It is my understanding that once the Tracker resolves, I have priority and my opponent cannot cast something until he/she gains priority again, I.E. end of phase, or they can respond to the trigger on tracker when I play a land. In which case, yes my tracker will die, but I will still get the clue because the trigger that creates it is on the stack when they cast the burn spell.
This is correct yes? If so please help me find the exact rules that apply. If I am wrong, please show me the rules that explain why I am wrong.
You are correct. The relevant rules are: all 116 of Comprehensive rules, but the most relevant ones in this case is:
116.1. Unless a spell or ability is instructing a player to take an action, which player can take actions at any given time is determined by a system of priority. The player with priority may cast spells, activate abilities, and take special actions.
116.3b The active player receives priority after a spell or ability (other than a mana ability) resolves.
Also:
305.1. A player who has priority may play a land card from his or her hand during a main phase of his
or her turn when the stack is empty. Playing a land is a special action; it doesn’t use the stack (see
rule 115). Rather, the player simply puts the land onto the battlefield. Since the land doesn’t go on
the stack, it is never a spell, and players can’t respond to it with instants or activated abilities.

603.2a
Because they aren’t cast or activated, triggered abilities can trigger even when it isn’t legal
to cast spells and activate abilities. Effects that prevent abilities from being activated don’t
affect them.
I cast Tireless Tracker and it resolves.
Opponent then tries to cast Harnessed lightning or galvanic bombardment to kill the tracker before I play a land.
