I was thinking of doing a combo for Noosegraf Mob and Blanchwood Armor but I am confused by the rulings for it. To be more specific I was wondering how removing +1/+1 counters from any creature enchanted by Blanchwood Armor would work. Would the +1/+1 counters be removed until end of turn? Or would the +1/+1 counters be removed until after the ability is triggered then resolves, as a state-based action?
There is no interaction between these two cards. A Noosegraf Mob has 5 counters on it to start with. A Noosegraf Mob enchanted with Blanchwood Armor has 5 counters on it.
Blanchwood Armor doesn't grant more counters. It grants a static power/toughness increase equal to the number of forests you control. If you control 2 forests and manage to remove all the counters from Noosegraf Mob, you will end up with a 2/2 Noosegraf Mob with no counters.
Remember, to be a counter, the text has to refer to it using the actual word "counter". Any static p/t increases are just continuous effects that apply.
The bonus that Blanchwood Armor gives is not in the form of +1/+1 counters, it's a continuous effect from the static ability of the Armor, that's different. Something that says it removes counters cannot remove that bonus. Counters are individual marker objects, which are independent once created, and nothing creates counters without using the actual word 'counter'. The way Noosegraf Mob and Blanchwood Armor works is, you still have only 5 counters to remove, and once they're all gone, you don't get to create any more zombie tokens, but the Armor at least keeps the Mob alive by raising its toughness, it stays on the battlefield no matter if players cast more spells.
