If I declare an attack with Kaalia attacking an opponent and her ability triggers and resolves, can I have the creature I put into the battlefield attack a different opponent? Or does this creature have to attack the same opponent?
The important part here is "...attacking that opponent". So the thing you put in will be attacking the same opponent Kaalia is attacking.

Compare Kaalia with Kessig Cagebreakers (which simply says "...tapped and attacking"). In the case of Kessig Cagebreakers, you can choose a different defending player or a planeswalker controlled by a defending player (C.R. 508.4); this doesn't apply to Kaalia because its effect "specifies what [the creature entering the battlefield] will be attacking" (C.R. 508.4).

Reading is fundamental. I totally missed that. Thanks.
