Heyyy, so i was playing magic after a long long time yesterday with my little cuty balthor edh
but i got a little rusty
i am unearthing my Corpse Connoisseur opponent responds with Nihil Spellbomb i tell him it's too late, is that right?
he should have done it BEFORE i activate unearth, so now it just exiles my GY WITHOUT unearth guy OR the card i put in my gy
Balthor the Defiled is into play, opponent Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief him, i use his ability in response, opponent casts Sudden Spoiling i tell him it's too late, Balthor is already exiled, as a requirement for his ability,he is back at the commander zone (?),no creatures are effected, his ability resolves AFTER sudden spoiling aswell, i let him take back his spell
CREATURES arise from the grave
Noxious GhoulGray Merchant of Asphodel among others, he casts sudden spoiling, i tell him it's too late again,
-5/-5 to all non zombies and 13 to all opponents to a net gain of 65
was i right?

You are right.
"Ability" means two things in Magic.
Ability: 1. Text on an object that explains what that object does or can do. 2. An activated or triggered ability on the stack. This kind of ability is an object. See rule 112, "Abilities," and section 6, "Spells, Abilities, and Effects."
Sudden Spoiling removes abilities (definition 1, text on card) from your creatures, but it does nothing to the triggered abilities (definition 2, objects on the stack) already on the stack.
Sudden Spoiling is useful before abilities can go to the stack (for example, cast it first, then kill a creature without bothering with its "dies" trigger), not after or even in response to them.

No, it'll get exiled and fail to be returned. Unearth is a normal activated ability and can be responded to and if Connoisseur is gone before the ability resolves, it'll fail to move the non-existent game object.
