Hello, what happens when a creature Morphs after the Declare Blockers step and its revealed attributes would make the block illegal?
For example:
I attack with a face down Sage-Eye Harrier, an opponent blocks it with a 1/1 Goblin token, then I Morph the Harrier to be face up. It is now a 1/5 Flying being blocked by a non-flying creature. What happens?
I attack with a face down Mystic of the Hidden Way, an opponent blocks it with a 1/1 Goblin token, then I Morph the Mystic to be face up. It is now a 3/2 which can not be blocked. What happens?
...being awesome with a violin doesn't mean you're awesome at writing your own songs. And writing good songs doesn't mean you're good enough at playing an instrument or singing to get a contract with a label.
Reflecting Pool: You know, technically, I *CAN* make any color of mana.
Exotic Orchard: Prove it. Do it right now.
Reflecting Pool: Well, not right now. I need some condi....
Exotic Orchard: LIES. GO DIE IN A FIRE.
Reflecting Pool:
Blocking legality is only checked one time: when blockers are initially declared. A creature gaining Flying or some other form of evasion doesn't accomplish anything once it's been blocked.

If you flip up a Zoetic Cavern, then the Cavern is removed from combat (since it's not a creature), but the attacking creature is still considered blocked and won't deal any damage in combat (unless it has trample).

Scientists have calculated that the chance of anything so patently absurd actually existing are millions to one. But magicians have calculated that million-to-one chances crop up nine times out of ten.
Similarly, if the morph creature was the attacking creature and isn't a creature after it unmorphs, the blocking creature continues to be a blocking creature for the remainder of the combat phase even though isn't blocking anything anymore. (This can be relevant for some cards like Celestial Flare.)
Blocking legality is only checked one time: when blockers are initially declared. A creature gaining Flying or some other form of evasion doesn't accomplish anything once it's been blocked.
Does it still become a 5/1 though? As in, flying might not matter, but toughness does?

P/T changes do matter and do change. If it morphs into a 5/1 creature then combat will see a 5/1 creature in all respects.
It becomes a 1/5 with flying now that it is face up. Anything that might matter about those stats affects it. FuriousMarsupial is just clarifying that 'Creatures without flying or reach can't block creatures with flying' isn't useful because the block already happened.

It still becomes a 1/5, toughness only matters when damage is marked on a creature. You're flipping it before damage is assigned presumably, so it will live. Similarly, since you're flipping it before damage is assigned it will only be doing 1 damage.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
