Okay i know Erayo, Soratami Ascendant (Erayo's essence) counters any card with split second granted it is the first spell played a turn. But Does Counterbalance also counter split second (Granted the card on top of your deck is the proper CMC)

Yes, as they are both triggered by casting a spell.
