I have a quick question about Tarmogoyf I keep seeing threads saying goyf can't be killed by tarfire even at 0/1 because it's toughness goes to 3 before the state based actions are accounted for. My question is won't he only go to 1/2 from tribal or does it count for 2 card types since its "Tribal sorcery"?

On Future Sight printings of Tarmogoyf, Tribal is listed as a card type. Tarfire does indeed count as two card types and Tarmy survives as a 2/3. I can see your confusion, as Modern Masters printings of Tarmogoyf don't list the card types, and Tribal cards are rarely encountered.
Correction: Tarfire is type Tribal and Instant (not Sorcery)
Whoops you're right! On a side note, how about enchantment creatures like Courser of Kruphix would they count as 2 types?
Yes. After all, a Course of Kruphix is both an enchantment and a creature, and enchantment and creature are both card types.
