If my opponent drops a Blood Moon and I respond to it by animating my Mutavault does things go on like normal or does the Vault stop being a creature? (When the Moon resolves)
When you set a land subtype (Mountain here) you remove all abilities granted to that land by its text, by copy effects and by its previous land subtypes.
Doing so removes the ability that makes Mutavault a creature.
Here you resolve that ability first, so Mutavault will be e a 2/2 colorless Creature Land that is all creature subtypes. Then Blood Moon resolves, and your Mutavault lose its abilities: you won't be able to make it a 2/2 again, but, until the end of the current turn it will be a 2/2 colorless Creature Land - Mountain with one ability T: Add R to your mana pool. After that it will just be a Land - Mountain named Mutavault
Excellent, just good to know as it could be relevant with left-field Enchanted Evening/Deicide Shenanigans
"The exiled card" in Deicide's text is not a God card in your scenario as Mutavault is never a God card, it's a God (permanent) and when a spell/ability refers to a card, then it explicitly refers to a non-permanent non-spell card. For reference:
108.2a. In the text of spells or abilities, the term "card" is used only to refer to a card that's not on the battlefield or on the stack, such as a creature card in a player's hand.
Furthermore, the term "exiled card" implies that the effect looks at the card as it is in the exile zone to check if it has the God creature type. Unlike many spells, it doesn't look back in time for info about what the permanent looked like before being exiled. Those other spells are commonplace enough to easily explain Squillis' mistake.

Creature Land - Mountain <All Creature Types>
t: Add R to your mana pool.
I am unsure on one thing myself, though. Will Blood Moon change the name of the card as well? (was a Mutavault, now a Mountain)
