Amusingly, as Mutavault is colorless if you give Mutavault intimidate it can only be blocked by artifact creatures.
This is true mostly, but Mutavault will not be a colorless land creature, it will be a land creature, with all creature types. Specifically subtypes. (zombie vampire giant human cat angel etc.) But will not have all supertypes, such as artifact, instant, sorcery. It will have both supertypes of creature and land though. So that is why it can not block the zombie with intimidate.

Whats the big deal about black lotus you ask? Well you see, there is no big deal about it. It IS the big deal.

1. Creature and Land are Types, not Supertypes. Additionally, Artifact Instant and Sorcery are Types, not surpertypes.

205.4a A card can also have one or more supertypes. These are printed directly before its card types. The supertypes are basic, legendary, ongoing, snow, and world.
2. Mutavault is absolutely colorless, so I don't understand why you refute that point.
3. I don't see anything about Hackworth's post that isn't completely true, so your comment of "this is true, mostly" is spurious.
EDIT: I thought I should also mention that "colorless" is not a color, so a colorless creature can not share a color with something else, even another colorless creature. Which is why the second part of Hackworth's Post is also true.
I just wanted to make sure we pointed out also the fact that Mutavault will have all creature types, it was something that was important that was left out.
I wasn't refuting that it will be colorless. I just forgot to add it back in. My apologies. I also just mixed up the type and supertype, because of the subtypes. So yes, it will have the types land and creature, and all creature subtypes available.

This makes the first part of Hackworth's post partially untrue. An animated Mutavault will NOT be able to block a colorless artifact creature with intimidate.

In which case, you were incorrect. An animated Mutavault cannot normally block artifact creatures with intimidate.
