After the failure of Kaladesh/Aether Revolt standard, I had high hopes that Amonkhet would turn it around, but I am disappointed with the revealed cards. It's too early to call, but I feel for Amonkhet the same thing I felt at this point in Spoilers for BFZ. I hope things turn around.
I think it's still too early for me to get too excited about the set. It seems they're just trying to show off the flavor/design of the set rather than spoil the bombs.
The set seems sweet from a flavor perspective, I just haven't seen any cards to get overly excited about yet. We are only 2 days into actual spoilers so I'm sure we'll get something sweet
I'm disappointed so far. Nothing I'm excited about for Eternal play. If they give me miscalculation I'll be satisfied, but I doubt even that at this point.

How I like to win games:
Modern:
Grixis Shadow
Burn
Titanshift
Copycat (Given up currently, not entirely sure what it needs)
I'm hopeful so far. The power level seems fairly high, and I like how exert and embalm work. That, and the cool new split cards! I'll keep an eye out for any Commander/EDH goodies in this set. I'm sure at that least one or two Gods will be worthy. I also like the graveyard emphasis, and how it'll mesh with Shadows block. Red madness and discard is looking pretty good!

Well, I feel if nothing else cards like Flameblade Adept will give help produce a new competitive Madness deck alongside Noose Constrictor and Fiery Temper, probably resulting in a Jund/UBRG colored deck. Overall I don't find it really that impressive as of yet, as no cards really stand out as exceptional, but then again we just had the expertise cycle and Fatal Push, so...
well for me the Kaladesh block will be hard to match, I felt it matched up to the more classic recent blocks, RTR, and INN. the sets didn't deliver a HUGE amount of power, but after the BFZ train wreck, it was refreshing to get a smaller number of cards. Honestly, the thing I want most from this block is a Bolas card that is busted in half if you play it, but has absurd casting cost. the first few spoilers are obviously nothing to go by, but I was hoping the gods would be less lackluster than last time and it appears unlikely. I'm happy to hype again, but they need to impress me first

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
The last preview seasons we've had basically all the Mythic Rares and Rares spoiled by this time and then everyone complains the 2nd preview weeks is nothing but junk rares and chaff. You're concerned about them doing the opposite this time. Can't make everyone happy - go figure.
Are we supposed to be impressed?
