First land Forest, played nothing, then another forest and rampant growth fetching forest.

First land I played was a Mountain, then Plains (yes I was a boros man) and then another mountain

That turned into a Viashino Firstblade

The first card I was really excited about was Gleam Of Battle!!! I loved my old boros deck

Face down Fathom Seer. I started playing with a Time Spiral tournament pack. I still remember(and have) the 3 rares I got from the pack: Chronosavant, Wurmcalling and Stuffy Doll.

Probably Llanowar Elves, but I can't remember a magic game in the ninties with that much clarity.

Swamp into Dark Ritual into Vampire Nighthawk of course, I had like 6 of each spell and didn't know better, but it was satisfying

It was a pretty janky deck when my friend was teaching me how to play. This was way back when The Dark was actually a new set - not the Timeshifted version!

I borrowed a friend's Vampire deck back during 2010 Zendikar. Beautiful summer day, outside on the porch my first two cards were full-art Zendikar Swamp into Guul Draz Assassin. I remember just staring mesmerized at that swamp and it ignited my obsession over full-art lands.

I think I remember that in my first game, when I barely understood Magic, I played an Arbor Elf.

Can't remember exactly but I know what deck it was, so something like;

• Dark Ritual
  
• The Rack
  
• Hymn to Tourach
  
• Mindstab Thrull
  
• Hypnotic Specter

The first card I remeber playing was Devouring Strossus, which was followed up by Phage, the untouchable. Probably was a Swamp first, obviously, then I'm sure some sort of ramp, it was casual picnic-table poolside, summer of '02(I think). To this day, those are my 2 favorite cards that I always try to play the heck out of.

My first deck was a RBU that was quickly torn apart and reassembled by a more experienced player into a RB Shivan Dragon/Sengir Vampire deck. I was never given the opportunity to play the game wrong so my first card was likely a Mountain followed by a Bolt. Or a Mountains, Swamp, Dark Ritual and a Fireball I don't think I ever had a 1cmc black spell other than Dark Ritual for that deck.

Amazingly, I still have the essence of that deck, squirreled away in some corner of one my deck boxes.

Probably Pulse of the Forge or Raging Goblin, I had the ighth edition (2x) and mirrodin started decks and just combined them together for like a 85 card deck, it was dope.

T2: Prahv, Spires of Order into Storm Crow

It was a classic casual Dragons Deck.

My guess would be Scryb Sprites or Benalish Hero.

The first card i ever played was a basic Island.

The first i played in the first hand i ever won (in a custom Extended "kitchen table" multi-player game) was a basic Forest; the card that won me that game was the first spell i played, Telepathy, (obviously i played a island second turn) which i used in conjunction with my own Cabal Therapy to drain off the Counterspells so that Jokulhaups could resolve while i'd already built my hand for post-apocalyptic fallout. I did mention it was multi-player, right?

Veteran Bodyguard
I traded my Serra Angel for it. Reasoning: the Bodyguard sucks the Serra Angel's damage, and can't be bolted as well, so seems like a solid deal.
I later learned about evasion, Winter Orb, and all that fun stuff!

First land was a Plains and first card was Devoted Hero. I miss Portal some days.

It’s probably Glasses of Urza. I remember it because my friend hated that I kept forcing him to reveal his hand every turn.

That was the first and last time we played Magic together…
