Kinda tough to say which is the number 1 to be honest. It used to be Esper but know Im not so sure anymore. My top 3 are Sultai, Esper and Abzan though.
What to they have in common? They all play Black which is my favorite color.
What to they else have in common? They all don't play Red which is my least favorite color.
10. Bant- Very scatterbrained color combo.
9. Sultai- Has a habit of leaning towards a graveyard reanimator combo deck. I hate combo.
8. Naya- The color combination of oversized beaters... boring.
7. Abzan- Pile-o-goodstuff. It's just a green deck borrowing all the best tools that the colors can offer.
6. Jund- Same as above. I give it a little more credit for using Red.
5. Temur- Big fat beaters backed up by counterspells and burn? It's awkward to set up but it's kinda enjoyable playing tempo with fatties.
4. Esper- Really quite boring to play as, but pretty fun to play against if not a bit predictable and grindy.
3. Grixis- My favorite control variant to play thanks to Cruel Ultimatum.
2. Jeskai- I like playing these colors as tempo. It really just feels like a 3-color RDW. And of all control decks, I usually like playing against Jeskai ones more. They tend to sweep up faster than Esper and other variants.
1. Mardu- A fun combination of speed and resiliency. Mardu just so happens to contain my favorite standard deck ever, the Aristocrats.
For me, I really took to Jeskai early on in KTK. I played my Jeskai Burn deck for a long time in standard. When FRF rolled around I switched to UB Control but I still have a fondness for my Jeskai deck.

Esper for me. I started playing Magic 2 1/2 years ago and the first game day I won was w Esper Control when Snapcaster was in Standard. Those colors have some sentimental value
One of the decks I play is Ad Nauseam in Modern, which happens to be Esper.
Temur ~ flexible colors with lots of tempo, ramp, counters, card draw, burn, and utility. I also love the adventuring and discovery themes the color combination evokes (especially in old zendikar).
Mardu... but only narrowly. Even though I'm not much a fan of red, Orzhov is my favorite two-color combo, and red adds the most contrasting flavor versus green or blue. Junk seems to circle around generic goodstuff too much for my tastes, Esper seems stuck n control, I've seen Madu in a variety of weird and eccentric builds.
Playing EDH recently has given me a new appreciation for Bant: it would be my second favorite, but like Junk, it seems to lean a little bit too much towards flavorless goodstuff.
It's between Bant, Jeskai and Temur for me. UG and UR are definitely my favorite color pairs gameplay-wise they're just so much fun and their philosophies are so cool and compelling. But at the same time, White, I feel, is an inescapable and indespensible part of my color identity and can be quite fun in its own right.
What ties all of these together? Well, other than the fact that I just like them all because they're cool, fun and in some ways are all bits of my color identity it's the fact that none of them have Black in them, which is my least favorite color. Philosophically, Black is just... eww. Gameplay-wise it's not totally bad but I just don't think it's my style. So I suppose that since I have an aversion to Black I should identify with the combination with both of it's enemies. So, Bant with a Red slant, I guess? Maybe Temur for it's amalgam of UG and UR? But I can't leave out White... Eh, I'll just pick what I want.

I am honestly stuck between Grixis( ) and Azban( )
I always enjoyed the themes from Grixis with discard, removal, and draw power from it's colors.
Although, Azban sometimes feels very synergistic, with it's ability to revive/reuse, searching effects, and sacrifice themes. I don't know why, but I always found that recycling theme appealing, especially since my first taste of it in real life was when I bought the Counter Punch Commander deck.
Definitely Jeskai. It is the color of freedom, justice, and intellect. It also had my favorite Magic deck ever (Modern Dig Through TimeWUR Delver) in it.

Why did Wizards include Arcanis as the foil for Speed vs. Cunning? It doesn't make sense.

Cards that really make this combination for me:
