From a flavor standpoint, would a red mage like Chandra cast a hybrid red spell?
Since hybrid mana is designed to occupy the design space of either color, and not exclusively both colors, could it not be a mono-red spell? Would Chandra cast Vexing Shusher, or Guttural Response? Would Kurkesh cast them?
I'll take it one step further. Would either of them cast Phyrexian Metamorph or Birthing Pod? In my opinion, I think Kurkesh might, on basis of his artifact affinity alone. I think both of them would cast hybrid red spells too. What is the popular opinion on this?
It depends on the character. Honestly Chandra's theme is just fire and mayhem, so if the card looks like a flame or elemental I figure she'd use it. I can't see her using goblins.
