Have you ever had that one set you know it's bad but you like it so much? You know it's a bad set but you like it from various reasons. I have five sets I know that aren't good but I love them, and here are the sets:
The Kamigawa block: Yes, one of the most Infamous blocks in the MTG history. The Kamigawa block faild because of it's mechanics and too much legendaries. However I love the block's artwork and flavor, also some of the cards are actually very good and are still played today(ahm Umezawa's Jitte ahm).
New Phyrexia: Oh New Phyrexia. It may be the most disgusting set in Magic and half of the MTG fans hate it because it wasn't Mirrodin Pure. But I still love this set for quite number of reasons:
1. The set is about the winning of the Phyrexians and I was on the side of the Phyrexians, the trailers helped a lot as well(siriously, check them out, they are awesome) But nevertheless a set theat focus about the winning of the Phyrexians is a major happy to all Phyrexians fans, not the Mirran side of course.
2. The set have some of my favorite creatures and spells: The Praetdors, Karn Liberated, Dismember, Despise(yes I said it!), Phyrexian Obliterator, Batterskull, Spellskite and Sword of War and Peace.
And the last gulity pleasure set is....:
Rise of the Eldrazi: Okay, this is actually one of my favorite sets of all time. Yes, I know it doesn't connect with the last sets but this is my favorite set for one reason: The Eldrazies. The Eldrazies are my favorite creature type becuase they are colorless, meaning you don't have to pay with a certin color, their power (The weakest colorless Eldrazi is an 8/8, think about that), their ability annihilator and the three grand eldrazies, wich the strongerst of them: Emrakul, the Aeons Torn , is my favorite creature of all time. This is why I love this set so much.
So, what are your gulity pleasue sets? Feel free to share them here!
Both the New Phyrexia and Rise of Eldrazi are actually quite popular sets, so I wouldn't really call them "guilty pleasures".
I do, however like the entire Kamigawa block. I also enjoyed Coldsnap (snow was awesome), as well as Theros block (which many people found boring and/or lacking). In some extent I agree with that; the Greek mythology is nothing new in Magic, the block didn't feel like an enchantment block and the majority of mechanics felt lame. But I'm a casual player so I still enjoyed it.

Yeah, Theros wasn't good but it was a nice attempt to create an enchantment block.
I'm a big fan of ice age block. It was pretty weak except a select few cards (necropotence, brainstorm, force of will, and rite of flame. Dark ritual was reprinted there but it was reprinted a great many times/eh.) But in block constructed for the block? Zuran orb and thawing glaciers were banned in that format. Necropotence was not, which is just hilarious although necro was actually pretty fair in block constructed because the cards you were drawing into with necro were pretty crappy cards/meh.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
Yeah, Ice age is one of the few sets that their cards were banned in standard, but mirodin has more cards that were banned and the idea of Ice age was really cool(both figuretivly and literally) and if done right Ice Age will be a very good set.
Fallen Empires was another set with great flavor. It was the first set to really tell a cohesive story with its cards, and I loved how each color had internal factions that were at war with each other. Sure it was underpowered and oversupplied, but that just meant that the packs were super cheap, which was great for me as 14 year old kid with basically no income.

One of the most interesting aspects with FE is that the factions were at war withing their own colors, the thallids turned on elves, the homarids attacked the merfolk, the orcs and goblins on dwarves, the thrulls on the order of the ebon hand, white societies saw the rise of integrist religous factions... nice set indeed.
I really liked Gatecrash too, but I was the one who was always going for grindy Orzhov/Esper decks while everyone else was fighting over Boros. Drafting that set was not as one dimensional as most people think.
I loved drafting Avacyn Restored. For a Bant player, this set was awesome! I somehow always ended up drafting fun and powerful decks like WR Humans, WU Blink, GU Soulbound, and even a WU flyers deck where more than half of my creatures were angels, that was a sweet one!
I will also always remember the game that I won despite having been attacked for multiple turns by a 10/10 double striking Sigarda.
The entirety of SoM. I just love artifacts and Phyrexians reminded me of Urza/Westherlight Saga. Khans is turning into a guilty pleasure because it has fetches and cracking a fetch is awesome. If I win any more tournament money, I'll use it to buy another box. Damn this feeling!
Loved Kamigawa and I liked playing M13 limited, so I bought a ton of packs to in house draft with. I also bought a fair share of Born of the Gods, but that was when it finally clicked with me that Shocklands were really good, so I tired to find as many as possible, same thing with Dragons Maze.
I love Coldsnap because of cards like Ursine Fylgja. Spirit Bears. I love it so much.
Then you should love Homelands and their Spectral Bears. I actually quite liked Homelands. It was bad, but back in the time I was more about the art, flavor and story of cards than real competitiveness.
Innistrad ... the entire block. I realized it was popular and that many cards became eternal staples, but for me, I'd have loved it even if one forgets the Snapcasters, Geists, and Griselbrands. I love Ludevic's Test Subject as much as Delver Of Secrets - it's the flavor that makes it my favorite block. I love the gothic nature of the setting, the whole aesthetic and theme of Innistrad.

Innistrad wasen't that bad. Aside from Dark Ascension the entire set was preety good for me.
Anyway, for me, it's Fallen Empires. Mostly because seeing the crown on cards that are thatgood. Sadly, they're all common.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
I love New Phyrexia. After two rather boring sets in Scars of Mirrodin and Mirrodin Besieged, it's chock-full of interesting and splashy cards like Birthing Pod and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite. The entire Phyrexian aesthetic is creepy and beautiful too, much more attractive than the boring people with metal bits stuck to them of Mirrodin.
I didn't say I hated NPH. I was just describing why other people did, because of two cards that break the color pie. (Even if they don't 'really' break the color pie. Is Dismember any more pie-breaking than any number of artifacts that destroy creatures? And slightly less since it can still be paid for with 1BB; it's just 1 and four life is better.)

It's a shame the actual cards were awful.

UTeferi, Temporal ArchmageU's prison: blue is the new orange is the new black.
Mizzix Of The Izmagnus : wheels on fire... rolling down the road...
BSidisi, Undead VizierB: Bis zum Erbrechen
GTitiania, Protector Of ArgothG: Protecting Argoth, by blowing it up!
GYisan, The Wanderer BardG: Gradus Ad Elfball.
Duel EDH: Yisan & Titania.
In Progress: Grand Arbiter Augustin IV duel; Grenzo, Dungeon Warden Doomsday.
I like Gatecrash, almost all the guilds were fun to play.
I love Avacyn Restored as well. Souldbond is a fun mechanic to play and the angels are very good(I have Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight in my Kaalia deck).
I don't like Theros, but I will give Theros that they have one of the best creatures in standard(Prophet of Kruphix, the gods(exept Pharika and Ephara), Brimaz, King of Oreskos, Courser of Kruphix and more).
Innistrad wasen't that bad. Aside from Dark Ascension the entire set was preety good for me.
