So I was browsing through eBay out of boredom. After a little while I looked at the pre-made decks on there and I found one that caught my interest. It was a mono black demon deck (didn't specify if it was aggro or anything, I don't even know what to classify it as) and I decided to buy it. Yes I'm the guy that started the "Help building a overpowered mono black deck" thread and I'm still looking through the suggested decks on that thread, but I decided to buy this deck because it seemed interesting and I wanted to see how it would perform in play. I ordered it on Wednesday and it should arrive on Monday. I wouldn't consider it aggro because the cards are pretty expensive. But here is the deck
I think it's pretty blah. It's not Modern-legal because of Dark Ritual/Wall of Corpses and it's not Standard-legal for a bunch of reasons, so it feels like it'll be underpowered. It certainly won't be overpowered, which is what you said you were aiming for. For a deck that seems to want to be aggro it starts off with Wall of Corpses at the bottom of the curve which doesn't make a lot of sense.
However, if you like playing black there are a number of cards in the deck that are perfectly useful for casual, so it's not like buying it is a loss. You'll just have to tweak it a lot or part it out to add cards to other deck(s).
I guess you need to decide whether you want to play aggro or control and also take into account what your meta looks like.

I said something wrong, this isn't going to be my overpowered deck, its just a deck I decided to pick up on eBay just to see how well these decks can play. I believe it is legal for Vintage and Legacy. Again not my overpowered deck but something to play around with for fun and to see how well these decks perform.
Seems like your friends decks might be pretty casual if that's the case.
Which is exactly what this deck is perfect for. Kitchen table magic with friends.
If you plan to take this deck to a sanctioned tournament, I'd advise you convert it to a modern deck as to make it standard legal you would need to cut like 4/5th of the deck, and legacy is way too powerful for this deck.
Even then, keep in mind it would be a casual modern build. Nothing wrong with that of course. I play budget modern with friends and have a blast.
Ok, after some time I decided I wan't to convert this into a Modern deck. Now I'm playing more towards aggro with this deck but with some control like clearing out a little bit of the field with cards like Geth's Verdict and Pharika's Cure. Since I wan't to make this Modern legal, I took out the Wall of Corpses, Dark Ritual, and the Oversold Cemetery that he gave me. I added in some cards myself that probably doesn't fit in here but I tried experimenting with. Here is the deck
I thought since I had all of that creature removal I would take advantage of peoples graveyards by also adding a Rise of the Dark Realms or two and another Fated Return. I had 2 Liturgy of Bloods in it but decided to take them out for some reason. Anyways, have some fun and see what to add in and take out. Lets convert this kitchen table monstrosity and turn it into a worth Modern deck

If you're wanting to make this modern legal, I assume you're looking to bring it to tournaments? If so, I would make use of mtg top8 and review the Mono Black Aggro Control lists that are available there.
But, right off the bat I would say to add some consistency to the deck, there are a lot of 1-ofs that make it hard to know what the deck is going to do.

I know there are a lot of 1-ofs in this deck, and that's what I'm trying to decide on getting rid of or adding more of. I might take it to a tournament, or I might bring it to Friday Night Magic, depends on what I feel like doing. But after getting rid of the Dark Rituals, the Oversold Cemetery, and my Wall of Corpses, that left me 6 spots to fill in, so I added a Essence Harvest, 2 Liturgy of Bloods, another Stab Wound, Doom Blade, and a Deathgaze Cockatrice. While I like Lord of the Void, I feel like I could get better use out of him with a mill deck. I could get rid of Midnight Recovery and add in another Fated Return, but I'm not sure about it. I'm still a novice deck maker so hopefully I will learn something by the end of this. Anyways, hopefully I can make this into something worthy of a Modern deck.

Well I really didn't care if the deck was aggro or control, because I alternate between both of those playing styles.
