I want to make a casual Hydra deck that uses Primordial Hydra and Kalonian Hydra as win conditions, along with a few other Hydras and mana accelerants. I'm having a tough time deciding between Steely Resolve and Lightning Greaves to protect against removal.
Steely Resolve
+ Opponents don't get the chance to remove the creature in response to equipping
+ Protects multiple creatures at once
- Much slower
- Redundant in multiples
Lightning Greaves
+ Gives the creature haste, which is amazing with Kalonian Hydra but less important with Primordial Hydra
+ Colorless cost allows me to more easily run something like 12-post
- Only protects one creature at a time
- Creature can be removed in response to equipping
Greaves would be my go to. Haste is an amazing ability and is often underrated imo. resolve is also a really good card and if you dont mind waiting a turn to attack steely resolve might be a better choice. maybe you could run both just note you can equip greeves if you have out steely resolve and chose hydra
