Dimir of course
Mixing the goal of wanting unlimited power with unlimited knowledge makes for the ultimate being/organization.
Its a shame that the card pool right now doesn't really represent that but maybe Blue/Black will get a few goodies in the next sets. Lets see what Phenax brings to the table.
U/B for sure... always been my favorite.
Blue draws me cards and controls the game and black jus does some good work...
Kills one thing or all things, syphons life, draws cards, has great critters... and reanimates.
My best and favorite deck is my U/B "KitchenTableVintage" Reanimator, so that sums it up by itself.

712.5b The controller of another player can't make choices or decisions for that player that aren't called for by the rules or by any objects. The controller also can't make any choices or decisions for the player that would be called for by the tournament rules.
Example: The player who's being controlled still chooses whether he or she leaves to visit the restroom, trades a card to someone else, agrees to an intentional draw, or calls a judge about an error or infraction.
It looks like all of the Izzet, Orzhov, and Dimir players are out in full force. I am another UB player, which is actually quite funny since I haven't played it in Standard since UB Control with Jace, the Mind Sculptor and Grave Titan. I do however play it in other formats when given the chance. UB are good colors for Combo and Control, so that works well for me.

When little me started playing, I would have said UB in a heartbeat. I somehow got the idea that it was the ultimate colour combination that would always be the best no matter the format. To be fair, I was young and started playing when Psychatog was in Standard.
Now, I'm torn between WU, WB and GW.
WU is the combination I'm most comfortable with. I draft this combination more often than not, and I like a lot of the cards it offers. I'm also playing an Ephara deck right now.
WB is a weird one. I love many of the individual cards, but I hate Orzhov so much that it just feels wrong to call it my favourite colour combination.
GW I really like aesthetically. But I don't love it too much mechanically (though the original Selesnya was pretty fun.)
So I went with WU as my favourite, but I could see this changing to WB if a block stops me from associating it with Hutts in priest outfits.
Izzet 4 life. Blue/Red is just me- smart and calculating one second, and impulsive and reckless the next. And I really like how vibrant and colorful Blue/Red decks look as well.
Izzet 4 life. Blue/Red is just me- smart and calculating one second, and impulsive and reckless the next. And I really like how vibrant and colorful Blue/Red decks look as well.
It also has the highest percentage out of all the color combinations in the poll. And blue/red decks are actually quite powerful in Modern.
For me it would either be blue black (best control and combo) or blue green (best control and ramp). However, I think that I am going with UB simply because if I could play any deck in Modern it would be UB Faeries.
I like UB but NOT Dimir (and to a similar extent, Phenax).
I really dislike how they've given the UB colour combination the milling identity. UB is so much more than that.
Esper is my favourite colour combination in general, though.

I was actually surprised to see U/R is so popular after I voted. I expected it to be in the bottom five. Although I'm mostly thinking from a Ravniga guild perspective.

UR is actually a popular shell in Modern. You got UR Delver, UR Twin, UR Storm, and I'm pretty sure there are plenty of other decks out there that aren't popular yet.
Orzhov to the end, though to be fair I love the flavor of Izzet and Golgari decks, too. It's not so much the Orzhov guild as the kind of flavor contrasts you get with those colors. Even in present Standard, something about Desecration Demon and Elspeth, Sun's Champion in the same deck together creates a great flavor clash, as though the good and evil of a plane got together to battle something bigger than themselves.
Hard to say personally. I enjoy both Orzhov and Dimir or pretty much anything paired with the esper colours. (I have some disfavour toward black pairing other than BU and BW.

A close second would be Orzhov because of the Mafia vibe they have and Black/white cards tend to have the best looking artwork in my opinion. Blood Baron of Vizkopa, Obzedat, Ghost Council and Deathpact Angel are a few examples of this

How about this?
Black gives me Cabal Therapy, Dark Ritual, and Tendrils of Agony (or Ichorids and Bloodghasts), while Blue gives me the ability to dig for business spells. What else do I need?

For this exact same reason, I voted Orzhov, but if I'm playing two colors for brutal control, it would be UB for sure.
And I also agree with the three color choice as well.

Some White/Black cards I love ( flavor-wise, sometimes mechanically, too ): Loyal Cathar/Unhallowed Cathar; Cartel Aristocrat; Zealous Persecution; Tainted Sigil; Righteous War.
UTeferi, Temporal ArchmageU's prison: blue is the new orange is the new black.
Mizzix Of The Izmagnus : wheels on fire... rolling down the road...
BSidisi, Undead VizierB: Bis zum Erbrechen

GYisan, The Wanderer BardG: Gradus Ad Elfball.

In Progress: Grand Arbiter Augustin IV duel; Grenzo, Dungeon Warden Doomsday.
I tend to value control over agro, so blue over black or red.
Simic for the win. Although I do very much like black.
