Depends on the format, but I really like mono-black in general
Black has all these awesome discard spells, creature destruction spells, and wraths that you can use
And it has cool tribes, such as zombies, vampires, and others
Probably Red. There are so many different ways to go. There's the straight RDW with tons of quick dudes. There's burn. There's goblins. There's artifact shenanigans (like Trash for Treasure and Goblin Welder). There's Big Red, with or without awesome sweepers like Pyroclasm and Anger of the Gods. There's LD. There's also prison style decks with Blood Moon, Trinisphere and the like. Lots of options and way more depth than most people might think.
I voted Black. The ability to do almost anything given the right cost appeals to me. Dealing with even the most impervious creatures on the cheap Innocent Blood appeals to me. Blowing up peoples resources on the cheap Sinkhole appeals to me. Etc. etc.
Depends on the format. In general though, I hate playing mono-colored decks. They're hyper-boring to me.
But if I had to choose, I like black. Has a lot of relevant cards -- discard, draw, destroy creatures, etc. If you delve deeper into MTG card pool, you find gems like good land destruction (Sinkhole) and good tutors. So many good tutors...
I tolerate mono-colors if say, playing casually at a kitchen table, and I think black is generally the best when it comes to budget options; oftentimes I find that new players gravitate towards black really fast and easily cuz they have interesting and easy to use cards. And a lot of the relevant types of cards (discard, creature removal, etc.) all are at common and uncommon. And good CMC to boot. Tutors are more costly cmc-wise at common/uncommon but it still exists.
They even have good quality black creatures in the form of Vampire Nighthawk, Vampire Hexmage, Gatekeeper of Malakir, etc. Then there's an entire slew of Pox-related effects (Smallpox, Pox, Liliana of the Veil -- not cheap, but still...). Even crazy/silly bomb cards like Exsanguinate and Corrupt.
Reprints the one card that people point to when saying that art objectifies women.
Well done Wizards.
Liliana does not objectify women in any way at all. We have gotten to a point in our society that every single picture of a women must be objectifying a women in some negative way......blah blah blah.. That is not the case. (((Sarcasm)))Picture of a girl drinking a milk shake, must be sex related and putting women down, picture of girl sitting on a beach, picture of a girl driving a car, picture of a girl on the moon at a new space station.)))
You have a picture of an attractive strong power women who girls dress up as for anime conventions. What more do you want? The picture is fine, happy to see a reprint. Sick of of seeing people claim that everything in existence must be putting women down. Then all I have to do is replace the word "women" with anything else to get the same mentality; fish, cats, arabs, blacks, jews, men, environment, whites, chinese, old people, etc. It doesn't matter what word I put in. Stop sucking life out of everything man. That artwork of her is awesome. Stop putting stuff down man. Just stop. If the picture was really as negative as you claim she would totally nude, in a kitchen, making sandwiches and giving blow jobs. Her abilities would be horrible as well. +1 do nothing -2 do nothing -6 do nothing. Instead liliana of the veil is an amazing planeswalker comparable to jace, the mind sculpter with great art to appreciate.
My suggestion listen to some comedy radio for a while, pandora is free, youtube is free there is something out there for you. ***** go make fun of somebody. The whole world is so serious and campaigning for some cause, or someones rights, everything is a hate crime, racist, sexist. blah blah blah.
"O no mcdonalds must be slandering a hate crime against skinny people every time they make a big mac." hahaha jeeze You're just someone perpetuating another groups negative perspective that they've made you believe is correct. Look at the picture for a hour and tell me what's wrong with it? I don't see anything.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
Mono red, especially red deck wins is one of the easiest deck for new players to pick up.
Its quite decent competitively, to boot.

712.5b The controller of another player can't make choices or decisions for that player that aren't called for by the rules or by any objects. The controller also can't make any choices or decisions for the player that would be called for by the tournament rules.
Example: The player who's being controlled still chooses whether he or she leaves to visit the restroom, trades a card to someone else, agrees to an intentional draw, or calls a judge about an error or infraction.
Pretty much this
Blacks flavor is the one that intrigues me the most because the end justifies the means.
I love killing creatures, making them discard cards and drain the life out of them.
Black also has the two most badass Planeswalkers with Sorin Markov and Liliana Vess.
Creatures to swarm your opponent? Play Bitterblssom.

I play EDH more than other constructed formats, and in EDH I'd think I'll build mono-green before any other mono-colors. (Just in concept though, I always end up in multicolor in practice.)
I'm a very heavy Blue player, but I do like Black, White, and Red too, they all have awesome removal which is a facet of control. Red also has one of my favourite cards next to Tinker, which is Goblin Welder. I would have said green too, but it's just the colour I care for least outside for a handful of cards. I'm also a Vintage player, so there's that.
For a mono colored deck? Red, all the way. While I've put together a few single color decks in every color that I've enjoyed, mono Red just feels super intuitive t build and play, not to mention thanks to the joys of speed and virtual card advantage, it often feel s like it's losing the least by omitting other colors.
Given the choice however, I'll go Blue/Black any day, in just about any format.
