Necrogen Censer is very odd looking. I guess it's a floating ball like thing maybe. But overall I dislike it because it doesn't really resemble an artifact in the style of the rest of the set. Maybe it if was a phyrexian card, but for a mirrodin card it's very off and hard to comprehend.

As for Mimic Vat, it's a creature being made out of ooze or being dissolved into ooze(hard to tell which).
For my vote, I'm going with Golem Foundry, narrowly edging out Necrogen Censer. At least with the Censer I can see what's happening. It's a device spreading a blight. As for Golem Foundry... It looks like the lava is defying the laws of physics, and the overall job was... kinda grainy and bland.
Actually... the more I look at Censer, the more I dislike it.
I'm gonna change my vote to the Censer.
One of the problems about how the artifacts are illustrated is that the focus is not much on the actual artifact. I placed most of the said artifacts under (dis)honorable mention.

Well, like the RoE lands, it's one picture in 4 parts. It's hard to decide which mountain is better than the others, since it's meant to be one picture, and it's all done in one style.
As for me... I don't really like Copperline Gorge, despite the fact that I usually love their work... the colors seem radically in contrast, and there's hardly a transition. Tthe art seems... awkward.

I wasn't running the best/worst card art threads back then.
I only really prefer that singel cards be voted for because some of the series have a mix of good and bad cards, and because it seems like it would be somewhat unfair or strange to include voting for series of cards in with singel cards (the non-basics).
