I'm trying to look into building my mono-green deck (finally) and i would like some help with choosing a starting point. Could someone help me to figure this out and get some cards for me to choose from? I would love to hear everyone's favorite green cards as a reference. c:
Thanks!
Just for the record, i play casual, legacy, and vintage. c:
I've always really liked natural selection; it's just like ponder, but instant speed, green, and with awesome hawk/tiger/ball art! (you also don't actually get to draw a card, but, that's largely unnecessary anyway, right?).
Seriously, chameleon colossus--it's all creature types, has pro black, and berserks for four as many times as you have mana. There are better cards, but few that are more fun and awesome.

Sig by Dark Night Cavalier at Heroes of the Plane Studios!
Birthing Pod, which apart from being a tutor, also helps you get value every time you get a new card, from a lowly Elvish Visionary all the way through Primeval Titan and on to Terastodon.
Easily my favorite card.

It's a tie between the Library and Mirri's Guile. Everything else is green in awesome (my favorite magic color definitely) , but these are my favorite because they are the "best" in that I love card filtration too much to ever pass up on them.
The card is insanely powerful, but the card itself is such a mess as far as the mechanics of how it works.
My favorite green card is Vengevine. There's so much you can do with it, whether running it for value, always rebuying it with bloodbraid elf, combo applications in legacy/modern. Yet its just a dumb creature with haste and doesnt complicate the board at all.
Runner up is Noble Hierarch, mostly for power reasons, but I think its great at showing and doing exactly what green decks are trying to do.
Thanks!
