So, MTGS. What's, in your opinion, the most awesome kill spell?
What's the most efficient kill spell.
For me, my favorite is, hands down, Terminate. Being a black/red kinda gal, it just fits me, and the image and flavor text are always entertaining. Plus, unlike the cheaper Terror it's not limited in what it can kill.
I'd have to say Doom Blade is the most efficient though. Cheapest with the least caveats.

Terror doesn't have the least caveats. It can only target a non-black, non-artifact creature. This is more restrictive than Doomblade and Go for the Throat.
As for my favorite kill spell, the classic Lightning Bolt. Cheap, efficient, and flexible.

Eradicate. Deal with it once, never have to deal with it again. Great for taking out combo pieces, 4-ofs, stuff that works from the graveyard, on-death effects...so on and so forth.
Mortify. My casual playgroup has some enchantments that absoultly need to be dealt with. Having that option is wonderful.
Putrefy. Versatile, and fun to announce. "I putrefy your guy. Watch out for flying eyeballs."
Agonizing Demise. Kills something off, and if you can pay the kicker it can put your opponent in a bad spot if you've got a proper red/black burn deck.
Recoil. Not technically a kill spell, unless you've ripped your opponent's hand away. Then it works wonders, getting around everything except targeting prevention.
Assuming you mean spot-removal, and not board-wipes? Unmake is my favorite, followed closely by Path to Exile. They just say "No" to any annoying creature - no ifs, ands, or buts. I want it gone? It's gone.
Since you did not specify "targeted" kill spell, I would have to go with Wrath of God since it handles everything but indestructible and undying. Even hexproof, regenerating and pro white creatures die to this.
Swords to Plowshares isn't as good, forgetting about the life gain which is really meaningless, because it can't target hexproof, shroud or pro white creatures. Add in the life gain and it's even worse if you want to be technical. Of course it only costs 1 mana, but only takes out one creature as Wrath takes out an army.
They would probably be the top 2 on my list with Path to Exile being 3rd and Terminate being 4th with Tragic Slip rounding out the top 5.

Wrath Vs SwordtoShares is more about the situation. Sure wrath can kill an army but what if my army is nice too?
Killing a player spell: Blue Sun's Zenith. Doesn't matter what the board state is; when your deck is gone, you're dead.
As far as killing creatures and permanents, I'm partial to Swords to Plowshares for creature removal, and Beast Within or Chaos Warp for general permanent removal.
Yes, but there's still a price there in the card. Loss of life. I'll leave it to you to decide whether you think that loss of life is equal to that one colorless mana, but I don't entirely think it is.
Vendetta can lose me the game if my opponent can let out a little surprise. Doomblade can't be used against me without something like Swerve.
Vendetta is my favorite removal spell, while not very good, I just love the flavor of the card. Best kill spell would have to be tendrils of agony with blue sun's zenith/stroke of genius a close 2nd. Go go targeted draw that has X in the cost.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
It'd be Swords to Plowshares. SO good, but also so douchey to be had done to you, just because it's so mana-light and does the most powerful thing -- exile. No graveyard recursion for you.
I also enjoy Dismember a lot. Part of it is because it's colorless (functionally), and also because of the life payment, surprisingly. I kinda enjoy that it has some downsides, and the Phyrexian Mana Cost looks and functions in a really cool way. Sometimes though...I really hate having it vs. large creatures.
Reprints the one card that people point to when saying that art objectifies women.
Well done Wizards.
Liliana does not objectify women in any way at all. We have gotten to a point in our society that every single picture of a women must be objectifying a women in some negative way......blah blah blah.. That is not the case. (((Sarcasm)))Picture of a girl drinking a milk shake, must be sex related and putting women down, picture of girl sitting on a beach, picture of a girl driving a car, picture of a girl on the moon at a new space station.)))
You have a picture of an attractive strong power women who girls dress up as for anime conventions. What more do you want? The picture is fine, happy to see a reprint. Sick of of seeing people claim that everything in existence must be putting women down. Then all I have to do is replace the word "women" with anything else to get the same mentality; fish, cats, arabs, blacks, jews, men, environment, whites, chinese, old people, etc. It doesn't matter what word I put in. Stop sucking life out of everything man. That artwork of her is awesome. Stop putting stuff down man. Just stop. If the picture was really as negative as you claim she would totally nude, in a kitchen, making sandwiches and giving blow jobs. Her abilities would be horrible as well. +1 do nothing -2 do nothing -6 do nothing. Instead liliana of the veil is an amazing planeswalker comparable to jace, the mind sculpter with great art to appreciate.
My suggestion listen to some comedy radio for a while, pandora is free, youtube is free there is something out there for you. ***** go make fun of somebody. The whole world is so serious and campaigning for some cause, or someones rights, everything is a hate crime, racist, sexist. blah blah blah.
"O no mcdonalds must be slandering a hate crime against skinny people every time they make a big mac." hahaha jeeze You're just someone perpetuating another groups negative perspective that they've made you believe is correct. Look at the picture for a hour and tell me what's wrong with it? I don't see anything.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
That doesn't work. You choose both of the targets at the same time, and Colossus isn't a legal target while Greaves is still on the battlefield.
Anyway, Vindicate, Swords, and Path are my tops. Efficiency and versatility are all-important when choosing removal spells, and these three are undoubtedly the tops in those respects.
Definitely Snuff Out. I really enjoy casting it for free at the end of my opponent's turn. No mana to pay and no resources needed other than some life and a swamp in play. Killing things for free is awesome
Favourite kill spell - Go for the Throat. It kills more creatures than Doom Blade in most formats.
Favourite exile spell - Swords to Plowshares. Exiling is much better than killing
Favourite spell that gets rid of an opposing threat - Treachery. Stealing your opponent's Wurmcoil Engine is much better than exiling or killing it! And you get to untap for Counterspell mana afterward! To be fair though, Swords to Plowshares is still amazing because of the single W cost.

Swords to Plowshares is right up there too.
I got Terror and Doom Blade confused.
And I wouldn't count Lightning Bolt as a kill spell, even though most creatures its fury reigns down upon don't live to see next turn.

and yeah, lets toss in Wrath.
For something off the beaten path a little, I like Putrefy for versatile removal.
Apocalypse
Suspending it usually means people don't play their big creatures for a few turns. Hard casting it usually means you win the game.
EDH game last night had a player make 43 43/43 oozes on turn 8. I hard cast Phthisis right after, dealing 86 damage to him. Boom. Headshot.

1 for 2 - Maelstrom Pulse
Single target is gonna be Return to Dust, it removes any enchantment or artifact at instant speed, and 2 artifact or enchantment during your mainphase, thats pretty incredible, a way to deal with a Lightning Greave equipped Blightsteel Colossus, and other cards such as Darksteel Forge and Darksteel Plate.
EDH: Xenagos, God of Revels.
