tl;dr Huntmaster will see play in sideboard, rarely mainboard, and if you disagree, sig this and feel free to rub it in my face when the time comes. 'Cause I want him to be maindeckable.
While none of us in my playground use them, they are far from unsleevable. Ultrapro makes sleeves for them, and we found cheap sleeves on eBay that fit as well. (we use them for planes chase cards).
I like oversized cards in general, but wouldn't miss them if they were gone.
If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.
I think it'd be ok if the only oversize cards they printed were legendary creatures. I could see appeal to some EDH players. Regular cards, though, not so much. I have a few in my closet I should probably just recycle.
I find them pointless. They take up more space. They can't be shuffled into libraries. They're only a subset of cards. They offer nothing new. The sleeves are expensive.
I don't know a good use for them aside from trade fodder to those who value them.
They've been a failure since vanguard. I don't know why they keep making them. If anything, full art textless oversize cards would be slightly cool, because then it's like a small poster and not just a big card.
Because conservative bias is a far, far worse thing. Liberal bias doesn't, statistically speaking, make people stupid. Conservative bias (or at least Fox's version of it) does.
I actually LIKE these oversized cards. but then again, I like most of the offbeat stuffanyway (Vanguard, Archenemy, Planechase) I wouldn't mind getting as many of these 6x9 cards that I can find!

The main appeal of these oversized Legendary cards is their use as Commanders/Generals in Commander/EDH (depending on your preferred moniker for this widely popular casual format). I think Wizards recognized the appeal of all of those new Legendary creatures in AVR (and the inedibility that players will want to build EDH decks around said Legends) so why not give those fans some fancy oversized cards like the ones that came with the precons? I'm not a huge EDH fan, but I definitely think the oversized card idea is cool.
It might be cool, but the novelty dies off quickly, and it becomes a hassle dealing with them afterwards. And there's almost no value to it most of the time anyway.

No one in my play group uses over-sized general cards... They're pretty much unsleeveable pieces of junk.
Opinions? I'm definitely against WotC printing junk like this and was thoroughly disappointed that they brought this product back for Avacyn Restored.

Also, on the sleeve discussion: The fit in post-card sleeves rather well.
