Original art Pox is one of the creepiest and coolest cards ever printed. The first card that came to my mind when reading this thread was Ice Cauldron, trying to figure that one out when I had first started playing the game was pretty interesting. Another one that came to mind was Lim-Dul's Paladin. It was a pretty bad card that I remember trying to use quite often, probably just because I liked the art. I guess its abilities are more just pointlessly complicated than weird, but it always struck me as a very odd card once I got a complete grasp of the game.
Nix is just so...Why would they make this card a rare? I know suspend/cascade/pact but have you ever seen this card played? Cool art though. Seems like wizards puts the best art on the worst cards.

Nix is rare precisely because there are relatively few situations where it's relevant. Drafters would be unhappy about seeing it all the time in a common slot, and casual players wouldn't want tons of copies of the card.
I'd vote for Ice Cauldron. It takes a long while to decipher whatever it does and then you notice that it doesn't really do very much.
Dude, ice cauldron rocks! One of my favorite cards of all time. Paying for spells at the end of your opponents turn has its advantages. So do double sized fireballs.
[Wandering Mage Such a strange time (1995?) to print this card, considering how tribe-specific it is. And two tribes at that. Weird.
There's actually a decent combo you can pull off with the mage these days. Combine him with Morselhoarder and you get a odd 2 card combo that prevents all damage done to you. use the -1/-1 counters on him to prevent 2 damage to a player and that puts another -1/-1 counter back on him to be used for more mana shenanagans.
I think that we (anyone who knows these cards) know that Evil Eye of Urborg and Evil eye of Orms-By-Gore are some of the weirdest cards, considering that they are the only two eye cards in the game

Out of the context of its Standard environment, Teferi's Response comes to mind as something weird that has not been mentioned yet.
As for other cards - Goblin Game for sure. Ice Cauldron isn't weird, what it really does is this:
T: Exile a card in your hand face down if there is no card exiled by Ice Cauldron, and pay any amount of mana. That mana is "stored" on Ice Cauldron
T: Add the mana previously stored on Ice Cauldron to your mana pool. Use it only to play the exiled card.
It was printed when Magic didn't have its present rules technology, and so it is super-clunky and works slightly differently to the above in some corner cases, but that's basically what it does.
Arcum's Weathervane. Back in Ice Ages, I can't imagine the convoluted decks that attempted to make any relevant use of its abilities. i remember I tried a bit, but it came up with a pile of cards that were so situational that it wasn't even remotely funny.

It works okay with madness, but it's not a big enough effect to warrant it's rarity in the least.
Thanks to syndarion of Aeternal Studios for the awesome Sig.

It combos with Camouflage for an odd interaction. I do not want to work that out.
I skipped the 9 pages of thread, but I searched for Camouflage before I posted
