I know that red has some pretty crazy cards that produce "random" or "chaotic" effects (such as Confusion in the Ranks and Radiate) but I'm having trouble thinking of some other ones, and I don't particularly think I can set up a Gatherer search for this kind of thing, so I was wondering if anyone could help me create a list of all the spells that create "chaotic" effects (anything from random to coin tossing is fine) and then list the 5 best ones?
In an eight player game, is anything good? Don't you just sit there countering combos until someone genesis waves for 42 after all the blue players tap out fighting over a bribery?
I wouldn't consider Shunt or Wild Ricochet random or chaotic. Just annoying for the most part. Gamble is a good one for random tutor. Capricious Efreet is random, and Goblin Game is just a real random weird spell.

B) Guys, if you post a card that you think would help the topic creator, at least give an explanation, however obvious or vague. Single-card posts (without reason/explanation) from this post on will be subject to moderation.
Frenetic Efreet was one of the most successful cards with a random effect. It was a 3 mana, 2 power evasive creature that was essentially immune to 50% of the opponent's removal.
Cabal Therapy was even more successful in tournaments, although its "random" effect could be worked around by combining it with other strong disruption cards such as Chris Pikula or Duress.
For more recent examples, you can check out some cards from Lorwyn block which included the clash mechanic. Lash Out & Broken Ambitions are among the strongest of these since they give you a guaranteed effect, while the random portion of the spell is simply the icing.
The best random effects are black. Hymn to Tourach is easily the better than all the random cards named so far. Hypnotic Specter is good as well. Everything else named is pretty subpar. Random is rarely good unless its discard.

Demonic Consultation is pretty good but "random" is nowhere found on the card and it could be debated how "random" it is to tutor out a card you name. The only random aspect of the card is how many cards you'll have to remove from the top of your library and that isn't even the primary effect you'll be focusing on. The card you tutor out is what's most important.

Even if you name a 4-of in your deck, there is still a very real chance that you will die - through no fault of your own or your opponent's - during your next draw step.
I'm not sure how you can debate the randomness of Consulting. Yes, you know the card you need is in your deck. But you do not know if your remain copy(ies) will be in your top 6.
This risk becomes even more real when you're fighting an attrition war against a control deck and Demonic Consultation is the card you top deck. Sometimes, Consulting for a Black Lotusis the correct play.
Most of these were good. Hymn of Tourach and Hippie aren't exactly the random I'm looking for, but they do just fine for the topic. I'm looking for more things like Goblin Game, Grip of Chaos (or whatever the Enchantment is called) and Wild Swing.

So far I have Confusion in the Ranks, Radiate, Warp World, Wild Ricochet, Goblin Assassin, Krark's Thumb (despite it's not redness) and Fiery Gambit. Also, Chance Encounter, but that doesn't particular provide a coin flip, it just feeds on it.
Also, would anyone here really consider Shunt effects to be random or chaotic?
Thanks to DarkNightCavalier
There's also aleatory and karplusan minotuar, goblin game possibly and illicit auction, most cards with coin flipping could be considered random anyways.
Gamble is a good one for random tutor.
Capricious Efreet is random, and Goblin Game is just a real random weird spell.
There's a few more suggestions

Braincramp edit:
How can I forget the greatest "random" card of all time. Due to its slightly lower mana cost and "speed", many would consider it even better than its predecessor.
"Serious question, why are the people in the mtgsal thread so ****ing stupid?"
What Magic Color are You, MORON ?
This card would like to have a word with you.
