im not sure if this is the correct spot for this question, if its not, please move it, or let me know....
hows it going?
i recently picked up some foil fireblasts, the old fnm promos.
the foiling on the bottom third of 2 of the cards is drastically different from the rest of the card. it shines if you tilt in in the light, but not the same way as the rest of the card. the odd area stops in a straight line, which is pretty visible in the picture. the line where it stops is in the exact same place in both cards.
im pretty sure the cards are real, they feel right, and look right....
does anyone know what could have caused this?
thanks

Perhaps a seam in the foil layer. I know there can be foil lines and that often it can lead to different look on the foils. That said, I'd demand my money back if they didn't mention it up front.

Yep, it's a foil 'sheet line'. Back when these were made, the foil stock they used at the printers came on big sheets--they had these little lines every so often on the roll and these made it on to the cards.
You don't see it really at all anymore. It's a feature of older foil cards. Unfortunately, it usually is seen as negative and slightly decreases the market value. However, that said, there are weirdos who actually collect these so you might get lucky.
Your card is 100% legit. Enjoy winning from out of nowhere..
