I recognized, that I tend to do the same procedure everytime to check if a card is fake or not, but I am not sure I check everything I should. I thought of maybe making this thread about fake checks. Or is there even one already?
I currently use a jeweler's lense to check the print pattern, test the feeling and the odour of the card and look, if there is a blue layer in the card (by looking from the side, not by ripping). I guess I should test something else.
How do you do it?
There's also the light test (bright glow shines through, but only somewhat), the dot on the back, the bend test for nonfoils (ehh), the water tolerance test...
I mainly do the Light Test and checking with a Jeweler's Loupe. I also weigh the cards. So far, I have noticed that fakes are about .1.5 to .2 grams heavier than authentic cards. I am sure there are fakes that are the same weight, so this may not be the best test, but it does help spot some fakes.

This is a good link.
In general, though, a jeweler's loupe will catch the vast majority of fakes.
@osieorb18: What do you mean with dot on the back?

I remember hearing something about one of the color circles having a dot in it...
