MTG Salvation

I have long wanted to make a crazy every color deck. Recently when coming up with this I noticed there are several sets of cards that are a single color but have an equivalent card in every other color. It would mean a lot to me if anyone could point out any such sets they know of.

What I have so far are:
The Shrines from Champions of Kamigawa
The Sun's Zenith from Mirrodin Besieged
The Praetors from New Phyrexia
The gods from Amonkhet
The Zombie Gods from War of the Spark
The gods from Theros

What you are describing are cycles, and those have been a part of the game's design for decades. So any such list will become veeeeery long, because there are probably hundreds of such cycles, even just monocolored ones. You will usually find several cycles per set.

Here are some of the top of my head:

The Titans in M11 and other core sets (Inferno Titan)
The Warchiefs of Scourge (Daru Warchief)
The Words from Onslaught (Words of Waste)

For the "newer" sets you can look up the prerelease notes. Those will (among many other things) list the cycles therein. Or look up the sets in the MTGWiki, which will also list their cycles.

Its probably as comprehensive as it gets.


Some "cycles" are more obvious, some others like Ravnica the Guild Leaders and the like are bigger cycles of multicolor-cards.

Some mega-cycles span over multiple sets and are more 1-ofs that are made into a cycle as people wanted the "missing" cards.
(Like the Morphling cards)

Thank you all so much ^^ I didn't know they had a name. Also as for the newer ones I'm not very interested. I prefer the old cards from when they still had blocks ^^;
