I mean, do they really think we're too dumb to know what's a key moment in the story without a giant planeswalker watermark and a note at the bottom of the card pointing it out to us?
Wasn't the whole point of story spotlight cards that Wizards would do market research about the story and then get replies back that had nothing to do with what they'd planned out, so they decided to add cards that indicated key points?

Other way around, people where complaint during BtZ and SoI that the story spotlights weren't clear enough showing wizards that they need some sort of signal for them.
