Some fakes have gotten pretty good recently so to be sure about high end cards, I'd like to verify them by comparing their half-tone pattern. It's not too much of an issue, but to avoid an annoying inconvenience, exactly what kind of loupe is best for MTG cards? Is 20x enough? 30x? 60x? Goggles? You don't want too great a magnification either because then you'd have to hold it too close or too far away to observe the detail.
Okay so somehow a post 1 hour old got many posts, but a post 3 hours old got none, which I myself have never seen on this site before especially when I know there are traders, tournament players and store employees/owners around here, but w/e. I'll try the variable one from 10x-30x and report if it's crap.
