Everyone knows revised looks washed out, but that's not the only set from 1994. Every set from 1994 looks washed out from revised onwards. If you look at legends or the dark English cards with their 1995 Italian counterparts, the difference is as obvious as revised and unlimited, yet Noone ever seems to notice or talk about this. So I made this thread to maybe find out what happened to make this, I can only call it a defect.
Click on the Wiki link above in the toolbar. Type in Revised in the search bar. Read about 2 or 3 paragraphs down and you will have your answer.

"Sometimes, the situation is outracing a threat, sometimes it's ignoring it, and sometimes it involves sideboarding in 4x Hope//Pray." --Doug Linn
Legends, The Dark, and Fallen Empires, while being more washed out than their foreign counterparts, were; not as washed out as Revised cards, and have a black boarder. Having a black border de-emphasizes the washed out look somewhat. So compared to Revised, they don’t seem so bad. All in all.
I'm feeling my age. But I don't hear this acknowledged much, so yes. Revised and the other cards of 1994 were all extremely washed out. It's obvious too. That ended fall of 94 I believe with fallen empires. Homelands isn't washed out either. Let us never speak of those two sets again.
