You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.

So you're pissed that you gambled and only barely won...
I'm so sorry for you. I'm sure your family is devastated.
Somehow I think you are more angry than I am if you think I was posting angrily shaking my fist into the sky. There's nothing to be angry about anymore. Wizards already did the damage and I'm just hoping that everything will be fine and things will bounce back. The best I can say is if someone can get a great deal on draft packs from stores definitely take advantage of them because every dollar below MSRP someone can pick packs up for is towards their benefit. That spread up there is across six packs. While it's possible to completely bomb out, if the packs are basically 18 dollars for 6 packs or something crazy like that, than even with a really bad spread you'll probably still be doing pretty good. Also, the draft packs at the stores seem to be somewhat less impacted by whatever is going on with the booster boxes. Seriously, 60 to I think 400 dollar spread so far and not a lot of boxes settling in the mid range.
Edit: ... and just as I finished that post wizards sent me the buy-a-box win a treasure chest promotion in the email. I completely forgot they were doing that this Friday.

Just as a quick update, a lot of deals are expiring this wednesday for toys. I believe Target is good through tomorrow and Meijer is the same way. Another sale is supposed to start on Black Friday if I read the ads correctly.

Latin America and East-Asia are supposedly the second and third largest markets for MtG but we never see any of these sales happening and don't even have product avaliable at big box.
Imagine how much money Hasbro is not making.
Here in California, U.S., the Target that I went to had no sales on Magic products whatsoever. It seems like it's that way each year,

Legacy - Sneak Show, BR Reanimator, Miracles, UW Stoneblade
Premodern - Trix, RecSur, Enchantress, Reanimator, Elves https://www.facebook.com/groups/PremodernUSA/ Modern - Neobrand, Hogaak Vine, Elves
Standard - Mono Red (6-2 and 5-3 in 2 McQ)
Draft - (I wish I had more time for limited...)
Commander - Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build) (dead format for me)
I didn't see any sale on MTG products at target this black friday. I did see tons of 50% off pokemon tins and products, though. Pokemon players get all the love, unfortunately.

A valid point. But let me play Devil's Advocate.
If I own 3 stores and on average if Store 1 sells 1000 units, Store 2 sells 100 units and Store 3 sells 50 units, I am going to focus my attention, product and emphasis on Store 1 as it sells 87% of my product. The term 2nd and 3rd mean nothing until you know the volume of sales for those localities.
I am with you, they MAY be missing an opportunity for greater sales. Or they may run the risk of losing money. They aren't sharing the info that would give us an answer.

Supply and demand, plain and simple. They have a glut of product nobody is buying. On top of that their player base is far younger and doesn't have the disposable income to purchase the product on their own (on average). I'm surprised they sell any of that garbage they peddle. I wouldn't touch it at 99% off. Don't let it get you down.
Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)

Considering I got my first ever From the Vault yesterday for the actual MSRP I'm pretty happy at the moment. I haven't been this happy with a packaged something from Wizards since the discontinued deck tins like Graveborn.

The value in Iconic Masters is way better than MM2 or EM. Stop perpetuating that myth.
I don't think it's that clear cut. A significant portion of IMA's value is derived from long-overdue reprints which, until the release of IMA, had inflated price-tags due to small initial print runs and a limited market supply. Horizon Canopy, Grove of the Burnwillows, Mana Drain, Ancestral Vision, Mishra's Bauble, Auriok Champion, Flusterstorm, Magus of the Moon, Glimpse the Unthinkable, and the Kamigawa dragons are almost all cards that had values inversely proportional to market supply. Therefore, what initially appears to be a value-laden set really is not once the reprints are injected into the market. Reprints like Aether Vial, Lorwyn-art Thoughtseize, Flusterstorm, & Cryptic Commandmay be enough to prop up IMA's value over time, but that's nothing compared to the current EV of MM15, which has staples among the likes of Clique, Karn, Bob, Noble Hierarch, Eldrazi Temple, Goyf, Fulminator, Mox Opal, etc.
The value of MM15 was a bit disappointing at first, but its EV continues to rise, because it's chalk full of Modern staples. IMA's initial value seems spectacular, but once a fraction of players pick up the formerly price-inflated cards which were necessary to play their fringe Modern decks, there's not much value to be had from IMA. Sure, Mana Drain is a really cool card to have, but something tells me there aren't a ton of players scrambling to pick them up so they can finally play it as a restricted card in their Vintage storm combo build. Maybe if a number of these cards don't see additonal reprints for an extended period of time (or if Soul Sisters takes the Pro Tour by storm...) then IMA will rebound, but I don't think there's enough information available to say one way or another that the set hands down contains more value than MM15 or EM.
In any case, I got the full spread in those 6 packs for rare values and if not for a foil Horizon Canopy the packs would have met my expectations. The rares are basically Charmbreaker Devils, Jugan, the Rising Star, Lotus Cobra, Serra Ascendant, Vorinclex, the Voice of Hunger, and Scourge of Valkas. At the price wizards suggests, that would be 60 usd to get those packs. There's no mystery why booster boxes of the set are selling drastically below MSRP.
