New here but needed some advice - I'm the process of selling most of my collection on ebay when much to my surprise I discovered that the Revised (3rd Ed) Plateau has two slightly different versions. One version has a broken black border on the bottom border towards the left as pictured on the Star City Games Website:
1 of the 4 I own has a complete black border. A quick ebay search will show that both are being sold without the difference being noted. Is this a big enough difference to be considered a misprint? For all the years I've played with these cards I'm surprised I never noticed it before. Nor could I find any mention about the differences between the two elsewhere on the internet. Would love to get some feedback from other MtG collectors and fans. I have attached an image. Thx!
Those all look like white borders. Usually a black border on a Plateau would indicate that it's an Alpha or Beta printing. The only differences i saw from that photo is that two of the cards look like they got some sun, or perhaps caught a little more flash glare during the photography process. Sorry i couldn't offer more help, maybe somebody else will notice something i didn't.

They just couldn't put 7th edition into Modern because of the card borders? Seriously? Count me out.
@Just_Plain_Mr_Mo - the OP is referring to the thin black border between the colored frame and the white border.
OP, you're correct. The black border is broken on the other one too, actually. That spot is MUCH thinner, and near the upper left corner. Earlier this year I had six RV Plateaus in my possession, and they were split 50/50 between the two.
Ah, i pulled out my own Revised Plateaus and now that i understand what to look for, i can actually see the difference myself. I have one with the break on the upper left and three with the break on the bottom left. I'm kinda surprised i never noticed it myself, i got a decent amount of use from these years ago. I doubt that it counts as a misprint but i'm certainly no expert. Maybe the folks over at the card authentication area of this site could help?

Thanks for the replies! Yeah, something was obviously off on the way this card was printed (maybe it is tied in with the fact that they had to change the artwork?) I hadn't noticed the other broken border! It's crazy to think that a variant like this could exist for long with nobody taking note - especially for something as noteworthy as a duel land. I could see it sliding under the radar if it was common.
And yeah, I spent hours scouring forums and google search results before finally reaching out! Thanks!
