So, I am trying to build a Commander deck featuring Grand Arbiter Augustin IV and I was wondering what some of the best "Tax" style lands are. I am not in the market for a Tabernacle, so that along with things like Library of Alexandria are, unfortunately out of the question.
Outside of Tabernacle, there really isn't much in the way of lands that do taxing. (You probably know this already, but you could run Pendrell Mists and/or Magus of the Tabernacle in place of Tabernacle.)
However:
Many tax effects are artifacts, so you can include artifact-recursion lands for when your opponents inevitably destroy your taxers (Academy Ruins, Buried Ruin, Sequestered Stash)
Strip Mine (and friends) sort of taxes a single opponent by 1
Similar to the Strip Mine suggestion, if mana dorks are played in your meta, you could include damage-dealing lands. They're mostly going to be in red, but in WU you still have access to Mouth of Ronom, Rath's Edge, and if you're desperate, Arena.
Also not a land, but i believe Mishra's Helix might help if you are in fact running lands that tap for multiple mana, as mentioned above. I've also seen it used in conjunction with Kill Switch to shut down a board. It was a long time ago, i can't honestly say how well it'll work in today's Commander

They just couldn't put 7th edition into Modern because of the card borders? Seriously? Count me out.
