I recently had a trade deal with my cousin and he told me to "invest". I gave him about 100 or something cards and I received nothing. But he told me to make a wishlist of about 200 cards and he would try to get them for me by christmas. I am somewhat new to magic. I would like to know any decks, interesting cards, or combos that you would recommend me to ask him for. Currently I love playing aggro, creature, and token dekcs. White and red are my favorite colors. But I am interested in buying green and dark cards. I am interested into ally, vampire, soldiers, hydras, cats, and life gain decks. Recommend me your best!
Wow. Ummm....that's quite a tall order! If you could narrow down what you're after even more, then we could help. For now though, you may just want to try Gatherer. It's a searchable database with every Magic card ever. Still though, if you can narrow down what you're looking for, I'm sure we can help!

I recommend you spend some time in WoTC's MTG database called the "Gatherer". It's quite fun finding interactions that please you; I can attest that it's easy to spend hours brewing and exploring Magic this way
As far as overlooked, but completely awsome cards to own...
Bubble Matrix -> Suddenly those 1/1 chump blockers just got a lot more useful. Portcullis -> Extremely overlooked gem. Board wipe and get two creatures on the field. Suddenly your opponent is stuck in a very bad situation if they can't deal with it. Mana Cache -> It's amazing when playing commander or conspiracy formats where politics matter. Ice Cauldron -> It's more useful than it looks. Basically, it acts like a storage tool for spells. Throw a Rewind on it or something similar for fun times.
1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
You'd really have to narrow it down because there's literally cards not even worth the cardboard it's printed on and some that are worth the down payment of a house.
My advice for card purchases is always work with the cards that most people are going to own and have available. A lot of us are recommending classic cards that are long out of print, but the best choice is to always go with the sets that have been published and printed over the last 2-4 years. If you go beyond that then the secondary market prices start climbing rapidly because the supply of the cards dwindles to the point speculators start to manipulate the costs and it gets increasingly unlikely you'll find others who are playing with the same cards.
Also, longer running competitive formats like modern are largely net-deckathons now due to resource availability in magic (somehow this always ends up being a problem). In Legacy the problem used to be mana acceleration. Now in modern the main issue that wizards has ran into is mana fixing. The reason people always say that the best land cycles in modern are shocks and fetches is that those two in combination allow as close to perfect mana as one can get for up to four colors, if one is really pushing it. This makes deck building a choir and really only plausible for maybe 1-2% of the actual playing population in modern. Saffron Olive and the like can throw out reasonable decks to the masses via articles, but those wont hold a candle to established decks that have been field tested to death and stood the tests of time such as Jund, Merfolk, Affinity, etc. Even when those decks aren't topping the charts, they are always extremely good decks and do put up results.

Pointed out some legacy cards that are fun to pick up. Honestly, for standard deck techs Strictly better MTG does a good job on youtube listing a bunch of great deck ideas.
